During AP check printing, some remote users are often receiving pvxwin32.exe - Application Error. The instruction at ""0x7c82c912"" reference memory at ""0x6578652e"". The memory could not be ""read"". This requires ending all tasks, then unlocking the ""check printing in progress"" flag. The problem happens at least once every month, but not consistently. Any direction would be appreciated.

    Version? OS?

I have a similar issue with ONE client one v2013 Advanced, PU1, however she is not remote. She gets the ""Sage ERP is not responding"" message, and it hangs her MAS200 (sorry, it will always be MAS200 to me). Does not happen consistently either. Then we must unlock the ""check printing in progress"" flag.

I'm going to assume the remote users are logging in via a Terminal or Citrix Server? Do they also have MAS installed on their local machine? Example: I have a laptop I use at the office (locally connected, running MAS from my laptop) and at home (connected via RDP and running MAS on the Terminal or Citrix Server).

I am in process of gathering all the pertinent details and will update as soon as I can. Thank you for your questions. It is a 3 user Sage 100 Standard installation. Probably v4.40.

I had the same issue today with client on 2013 premium - they were doing a 140 check run and it craps out twice. Not an issue in 4.5 same machine and printer - not remote. We updated the HP printer driver - I am thinking that is the issue as it did not bomb when printing direct to pdf all 140 checks.

I had similar issues with Version 2013, turned out to be a corrupt AP Check form.

@Ron Peterson: is there a Crystal conversion w/ the 2013 upgrade? Sorry for the dumb question, but I have held off doing ANY 2013 upgrades because I have seen no compelling reasons to upgrade any of them at this time. Imdid recently picked up an old client who recently upgraded to 2013 Advanced? the upgrade was a wee bit ""bumpy"" I guess. do not have warm fuzzies for this version; 4.5 appears to be pretty stable (knock wood!!).

    4.5 uses Crystal 11.5, 2013 uses Crystal 2011

There are changes to the AP check form. I think are maybe some other changes that may not be documented clearly. So I have reset for the check form to the factory form and remodified. Will see if this makes a difference.

The Crystal architecture changed and some if not all of the old user function dlls no longer work. The 2013 default forms have been updated, but mascrw only updates forms for data structure changes, not formula changes. It would have been nice if Sage had documented what was changed.

That would have required effort on their part!!!!!! They don't have the capacity to code properly let alone figure out what is different. Isn't that our job now?

I need not say anything else. Nicely said Jeff!

Has anyone determined what specific fields have been changed? Also is this the case in other modules. User are experiencing the ""Sage is not responding"" error is other modules as well and we are trying to pin point the cause.

Does it logs the user out, I had this happen and I had to turn off PEP settings.

It won't log the user off so much as it kicks them out. And that's only sometimes. Other times they are able to click through the error message and remain in MAS.

@JonParkinson a 3 user standard Sage 100, what is the OS on the workstation with the issue and also is there a mix of OS workstations? What AV are they running ? Have the Sage 100 file extensions been excluded from AV scans and the network drive as well?

Is this a form upgraded from pre 5.0 - or the out of the box 5.0 form? Did you change the GL- distribution or variable formula and in all the subreports?
