I put together some semblance of organization from our discussion ( @Kate Krueger & @Amber Prayfrock ).

It is far from perfect, and I know some things are left out, though not on purpose. Please put some focus on this before our meeting Monday. Add your value to the effort!

I sent edit rights all Committee members. Originally I was just focused on "our small band, our band of (3) brothers," er, subcommittee. We meet again Monday at 2 EDT. Happy to have anybody else chime in with ideas!

I am curious.  What is the objective of this survey in its current form?  Are three any decisions are we trying to make based upon responses?

It is not that there is anything wrong with the actual questions or format.  We are asking members to spend time on this and as a recipient I might want to know why.

    Hi Team,

As Gary asked about the goals, and with Sage Future just wrapping up last week, this feels like the perfect time to align the survey with that momentum and insight.

As we finalize the upcoming membership survey, I'd like to offer a few suggested goals based on where we are now-especially with the current developments in Sage 100 and the growing visibility of Intacct.

If these areas aren't already addressed in the draft (which I have not had time to review yet), I'd recommend we consider the following:

    1. Understand Where Our Members Are in the Sage Ecosystem
It's important we assess where members are currently focused-whether that's Sage 100, Intacct, or both.

What does growth look like to them? (See sample question below)

Importantly, Intacct should be approached as an additional tool, not a replacement for 100. Some members may be exploring hybrid models, while others are staying deeply rooted in Sage 100. The survey could help us:

-Map current platform usage and priorities

-Understand interest in tools like SDMO, Copilot, and migration utilities

-Gauge how members see their future with Sage overall

    2. Identify What Resources and Learning Members Need Most
With Sage introducing new technologies and verticalized strategies, we should pinpoint:

-The training, sessions, and formats members find most useful

-Interest in learning paths for Sage 100 enhancements and Intacct onboarding

Gaps we can fill through Meeting of the Minds, roundtables, or 90 Minds education.   These questions could be unique as it relates to 100 or Intacct.

So if we ask questions about support or education we may have to distinguish between the two platforms because I anticipate the needs will be different.

    3. Reaffirm What Keeps Members Engaged-and What Will Keep Them Here
To ensure we're evolving in step with member needs, let's use the survey to clarify:

-What parts of 90 Minds members value most today

-Interest in contributing to leadership, committees, or mentoring

-Appetite for expanding services (while remaining grounded in the Sage 100 community)

Thanks to everyone working on this. Happy to help with any question development or brainstorming if helpful.  I am just back in my office today and will catch up.

    Sample Question:

"What does growth look like for your business in the next 12–24 months?"
    (Select all that apply)

    -Adding new clients

    -Increasing revenue per client

-Expanding into new verticals or industries

-Offering additional services (e.g., advisory, migrations, automation)

-Hiring additional team members or subcontractors

-Becoming certified or skilled in a new platform (e.g., Intacct, SDMO, AI tools)

-Partnering with new ISVs or solution providers

-Streamlining operations to improve margin (not just scale)

-I'm focused on maintaining current size but increasing value

I thought we'd concluded at our last full Membership meeting that we would end up with TWO surveys. The current draft is focused on how members use and value 90 Minds and its resources today. Basically "customer satisfaction." We haven't addressed how to release it and maximize responses yet, but certainly Gary's question applies there.

The second survey would be along the lines of a draft (attached) Anne gave me last month. Its contents are much more along the lines of her questions after Futures.

I think if we combine them, it will be

    • too long, and
    • one section or the other will be completely unanswerable by most members.

This is a pretty fundamental question to clear up. Today's meeting (2pm CT) will focus on completing the Google Doc survey I shared, and consider which of the other questions might be relevant to its purpose. When we have that clear, then we will discuss the second survey topic. Please call me before 1pm CT if you want to discuss (my afternoon is fully booked.) 512.419.1444 x112

From my perspective, two separate surveys makes the most sense for exactly the reasons already mentioned:

Survey 1: Membership Experience & Satisfaction
Focused on how members engage with 90 Minds today, the value they get from the community, and how we can improve events, communication, and resources. This aligns with the current draft and is best for driving internal improvements.

Survey 2: Business Growth & Future Direction
This would include more forward-looking questions-platform usage (100/Intacct/other), service offerings, team growth, business goals, etc. That's where the post-Futures momentum and strategic alignment really come into play.

Combining them - as mentioned - would not only risk making the survey too long, but could also confuse respondents who might only feel qualified to answer one part or the other.

    We could:

Release the Membership Experience survey first (soon),

Then follow up with the Business Growth/Futures survey a few weeks later-framed clearly as strategic planning input.

I welcome everyone's feedback and comments. Thank you so much for keeping us organized Jerry.

Jerry - I think you did an amazing job with this first draft! I only have a few recommendations right now and we can keep discussing and refining after we get the list of recent webinars/training events.

FYI - the question renumbering needs to be adjusted.

    1. Change from "really bad" to "needs significant improvement" and maybe same scale of 1-5 that we are using everywhere else?

    4. Add a "Not familiar" option to 1-5? Then we can focus on the components that we need training on.
Add "Search" feature and provide example
Add "Networking Tools" and provide example

    11. Change to an open text answer about which components of HL the member finds to be particularly "challenging". The "usefulness" ranking can be handled by #4.

    13. Change question to "How would you rate the overall usefulness of the 2025 Meeting of the Minds (MOTM) conference in terms of content, networking, and practical takeaways?"

Add new "Would you be interested in joining one of more of the following 90Minds communities?"

This all looks good.  I may be the odd duck who likes to know why I am asked to do something before I execute the task and try to treat everyone else how I would like to be treated.  I completely agree not to make the surveys too long as we need higher participation rates to draw proper conclusions from our outreach.
