Downloaded the v2014 executable from the Sage site. Uncompressed it on client's WIN 2008 R2 64 OS server. While it appears to unzip, there are about 1027 files with error message can not open output file...... See the attached file. Nothing revealed by searching the Sage kb. Any thoughts?

I have found that sometimes you can only unzip the executable directly in the Downloads folder ... I have run into these messages before too and when I extract to the Downloads folder it seems to take care of the extraction errors.

Have had that too. The self extracting 7-Zip EXE creates double nested ""Sage 100 ERP 2014"" folders when it unzips. Some files will try to extract in what ends up being a path that's too long for the operating system. The person who created it was drinking that night. This problem was completely avoidable. That's my theory. Anyway Jeff just put the big EXE in a folder near the root of the C: drive or other local drive. Ex: c:\Install\v2014Adv (if your starting point for extraction is too deep then you'll get the errors)

@AlnoorCassim & @JaneScanlan Thanks for the posts, that totally was the problem!!!!! The MAS path for this client is unconsciously long (another IT department setup). Unzipped it in the downloads folder and all is well in install land! That is, until the next glitch....

Yup, I've made it a habit of extracting it on the root of the applicable drive ( e.g., E:\ ) so that the path is very short.
