  • 1.  Down Arrow in PO Entry

    Posted 06-22-2020 16:53

Client recently upgraded from v2014 to v2019 and they no longer can use their arrow keys to go into Purchase Order Receipt of Invoice, a scroll down through line items in the GL Account Number Field.  Move the GL Account to the primary grid, place the cursor in the GL Account field, change the GL Account Number on that line item.  Every keyboard action goes to the next field to the right.  None of the actions behave the way it did previously where it allowed to "down arrow" and quickly update GL Accounts.  Same experience in PO Entry.
Any suggestions for the client?  Anyone know "WHY" it does not work like it did in v2014?

Down-arrow functionality seems to work okay for me.  Maybe you need to try resetting that user's screen/grid.

Had something like this happen to a customer a while back. The server worked correctly but the clients had issues. Found out that the IT guy didn't elevate permissions when he installed and once we reinstalled it correctly, everything started to work.

I tried a few things, including elevated permissions.  They can arrow down through the GL Account number field fine.  Until they change a GL account.  Then it goes to the right.  So for now, I have asked them to modify their screen for large PO's to only have the Item Code and GL Account number in the primary grid.  Enter then takes it to the next right field, but since there is none, it takes it to the next line.  And since Item Code can not be changed, it leaves them in the right place of the GL Account field.  Thanks for some ideas to think about.
