Sage 100

Doing Sage 100 Advanced 4.3 to 2014 conversion. Conversion has been on 'Converting IM Serial Transaction History' file for 3 hours with no movement of the status bar. I'm thinking it's hung but not sure. What are my options? TIA

Look in the MAS90/MAS_xxx/IMxxx folder for the size of the data files to confirm they are changing or not.

Ron, it has been my experience when converting Version 4.3 to higher any company with Inventory takes an extreme amount of time, it is crating new IM files, calculating Period and YTD Balances. I would give it some time.

Michelle's idea is good I have used that as well and you and see the new file being created, it is like watching paint dry!

Stay put and let it run....i have done some conversions that take 7-8 hours in that history only

I agree with Lourdes. We recently added DSD multicurrency to a customer of ours and the conversion of AR took 36 hours!!!

@MichelleTaylor I can see the IM_ItemTransaction History.M4T.002 is changing size. Yup, It's running. Thanks all!!!

Patience is a required virtue in conversions.. if it does take too long you can try purging history prior to the conversion. if you have a LOT of History (many years) the conversion is very time consuming. I had one that I estimated would take 102 hours... I purged and brought it down to 18 hours.

I was up to 7 segmented files...
