Doing a server migration for Sage 100 Standard 201

Doing a server migration for Sage 100 Standard 2017 PU3. Everything went fine. Should be done. But none of the workstation clients will launch. Not even on the server itself. Pvxwin32.exe shows up in TaskMgr but nothing ever comes up on screen. No error, no log in window, nothing. Reboot did not help. Workstation launched fine to start parallel migration, but after everything copied without errors, I can't get the client to restart.

can you run pvxwin32.exe from the mas90\home folder and get the providex startup message and then the prompt ? this will check the ""activate.pvx"" and permissions.

Howdy, Kathryn! Kill the pvxwin32, and go into the home folder of the new system. Find the $ACTPVX.BAT and execute it. After it executes and closes, find the PvxWin32.exe and double click it. It should open the standard console screen. Run ""STARTUP.M4P"" and see if the normal login starts. I've seen the key get corrupted.

I ran the $ACTPVX.BAT but ""STARTUP.M4P"" still hangs in pvxwin32.exe. No errors, just doesn't do a anything. Already tried give Everyone Full Control on the folder & share.

I'm going to ask a ""duh"" question - is antivirus turned off? If so, you may have to do a repair, as it seems the pvxwin32 is missing something it needs.

And last thing that I can think of - rename sy_workstation.m4t.

AV not even installed yet. It's a brand new server. Trying sy_workstation.m4t now.

Is UAC turned of, or as low as you can go? It is acting like it is missing something...

Are you doing a right-click and run as administrator on the pvxwin32.exe?

Maybe the broadcast shutdown flag is checked? can you copy the SY_System to your machine and check it out in DFDM?
