Does Sage CRM have the ability to generate a map of territories? If not is there an add on?

Check out the community site - http://community.sagecrm.com - I believe they just released a mapping component. It might not be what you are looking for but it will give you an idea of what can be done. My team has played around with mapping data points to Google Maps depending on what you are looking for, specifically, let me know. I will say that if you are mapping a lot of data to Google maps it will be slow-ish so that needs to be taken into consideration. Let me know any additional details if you would like some more specific advice.

Does Sage CRM use Crystal? Crystal can do maps.

That is a great suggestion Paul - I wasn't aware Crystal did maps now. (Yes you can use Crystal to report on Sage CRM data - it's all in MS SQL.)

The maps dlls do not install automatically, but the first time you run the map wizard it will prompt you for the media to install them.

I knew there was a reason I fought to keep you in the group even though everyone else said throw the bum out. ;)

I used to be a desktop mapping guru with MapInfo long before Google Maps ever existed. It was 'free' solutions like Google that pushed MapInfo into niche markets. However, the mapping components of Crystal are actually really old core modules of MapInfo. BTW, decent mapping is what I see missing from most Business Intelligence tools. Much data is geographic yet most show data in columns by state for example.

It turns out what this customer needs is mapping of all the customers for a presentation, not individual maps for each, and M$ MapPoint is part of the Action Pack. They were happy with the results and bought their own copy of MapPoint to do their presentation with.

@PeterWolf - For future reference (and demos, since other customers I talk to about their free CRM license ask about it often) have you actually used the Sage CRM mapping component on the community site? There seemed to be a number of defect reports in the comments on that entry.
