Does anyone now how to set a Crystal report to print columns across multiple pages? Say I want columns 1-10 on page 1 and columns 10-20 on page 2? The largest setting I see for paper size is legal, I have a 20 column report to create.

One thought would be to have columns 11-20 as a subreport (in report footer section of main report). It would have the same parameters as the main report and you may have to pass in the main report parameters to the subreport.

Another thought - If exporting to Excel is ok, then shrink the columns to fix on one page, then just expand the columns after it is exported to Excel.

Thanks William, I have lots of detail summarized so i'm not keen on adding all those variables. I think I'll just have them use the Excel option. Cindy

In Crystal Reports the page size is a function of the printer selection. Instead of selecting a printer and an associated paper size, I will sometimes choose my PDF995 writer (free download at http://www.pdf995.com/ ). In Crystal... choose File, Print. Select PDF995, Preferences. On the ""Layout"" tab select the ""Advanced.."" button. Choose paper size 36"" x 108"" big enough? Big sizes start at the top.

Assuming you are doing this for export, I use a similar technique, but with a standard Windows driver for HP plotters such any of the DesignJet series. They also has very large selectable page sizes. Just avoid the option to automatically detect the physical printer and install only the driver. Often, this is more palatable to IT admin staff than installing 3rd party software.
