Does anyone know why ""partial"" is even an option for comments on orders and invoices? I mean, why would anyone want to hide part of their comments? Seems like a dumb thing, and it's the DEFAULT.

Because the old comments, pre-framework, were 2 lines of 50 characters each, and PARTIAL mimics that. Sage's history of enhancements is to make the default be the old way. (Like NOT checking Perpetual Payroll History in a new company setup...)
