Sage 100

Does anyone know what Sage mobility offerings are coming with Sage 100 2013? I feel like i missed something somewhere along the way. I have found information about Sage Exchange and mobile support for SPS in the pre-release guide, but then the Sage 100 2013 presentation last week has screen shots of other mobile functions such as an inventory advisor? Anyone know anything about this or where I could find more info?

Inventory Advisor is some type of third party licensed add-in. It's going to be a monthly fee and it will analyze inventory. My guess is attractive primarily to larger sites. I don't have all the details in front of me but basically more connected services. The mobile offerings were shown at Summit last year but those were renders. They aren't actually scheduled to ship until this summer (give or take). There may be some variations that are shipping for other products such as Timberline (or whatever it's now called). Sage looks poised to create some type of mobile billing solution - probably so that you can send out paperless office type documents and also have the customer pay right from the invoice (click here to pay). This of course will require the customer to be using SPS. Release TBD but looks as if it's later 2013.

The Sage products for mobile look like they are going to be more single purpose - - take orders, process payments.

We had a chance to look under the hood at Inventory Advisor and took a pass on writing the integration. Wayne is right, the product looks misplaced in the Sage 100 ERP space though there will a small percentage of larger companies who will be interested. It's not for the masses. @Gary Feldman - thanks for the shout. Doug LaBahn says 'beta for Sage Mobility' in March for Sage 100 ERP and Sage 300 ERP. We won't know how we compare until Sage does the unveil - they have been remarkably (impressively?) tight-lipped about what they have.
