Does anyone know the answer: Has the [Sage 100] software been validated to be used in a Food Processing Plant for the FDA? My instinct is no.

Not sure if it has been (or needs to be) validated by the FDA, but I have implemented Sage 100 in a couple of different food processing companies. Some of the primary features they need are lot tracking and country of origin tracking / reporting.

I used Sage at a canning (black beans and hominy) for over 10 years. Worked for how they needed.

I went through validation with a pharmaceutical company. We had to add an expiry date UDF to PO tied to lot distribution. Expiry date flows with lot number all over the place. Had to modify a few reports and screens too. But doable.

ACS MultiBin with Lot Expiration worked for me. They even liked the canned Traceability Report.

We have several food industry production customers using Sage 100. Never encountered any questions or issues from the FDA, including one where the FDA had a permanent parking place and was there often.
