Does anyone know of any VAT tax solutions for Sage 100?

Is this any different that GST/HST in Canada? Sage 100 works well for the Canadian tax system. @NicoleRonchetti , give me a call if you wan to discuss.

Robert, I have a client with the GST/HST for Canada. I created formulas on the sales order and invoicing forms as they need to be separate lines showing the tax. They also utilize Avalara, however I did not know Avalara accomodated VAT. When you say Sage works well with GST/HST do you have separate tax lines on the SO invoice and Order Forms?

@MicheleHerzog, yes taxes are easily broken out (without formulas) See attached screen shot sample. As long as Print Tax Code Detail is enabled on Sales Tax Schedule Maintenance, the work tables should be properly populated with data. When I think VAT, I usually consider the recoverable tax system for purchases and Sage 100 does manage that well/

Thanks everyone! I'm not 100% sure on the specifics of what the client needs just trying to understand if there was already a packages solution out there. Avalara does have a VAT reporting product but it doesn't (to my knowledge) integrate with Sage 100.

Coincidentally I had a call from a customer in the UK yesterday. They currently RDP and use Sage100 on the home office servers. Apparently, a lot of things are changing with VAT reporting. They are calling it MTD (Making Tax Digital). I am attaching a document they sent me. The customer was asking if they will need to separate their software and convert to Sage50 (UK version) because it does all the filing and reporting already.

@KennyDaniel I have the same issue with one of my Sage 100 clients. Apparently Sage One has an MTD interface. It looks like Avalara has an MTD interface too but not sure if that interface works with Sage 100. It looks like it will work with Acumatica. We just started working with Vertex integrated with Acumatica. I see they have a Sage integration too. https://www.vertexinc.com/solutions/value-added-tax

Although Avalara has solutions worldwide, they seem to take their cue based on what the ERP or accounting software package supports. Sage 100 is an ERP for the US, so Sage Sales Tax (powered by Avalara) only supports integrations for the US requirements. Yes, Avalara does the VAT calculations, but integrations are probably not available, except for software that is commonly used in Europe (SAP, Oracle, etc.) It would be interesting to know what the integrations are for Enterprise Management (aka X3).

I contacted Vertex for Sage 100 VAT integration and they told me they do not have anything.     Anyone found other solutions yet??
