Does anyone know of a general guide that goes over typical number of records that Sage 100 Advanced could handle before needing to move to Premium (i.e. number of customers, items, daily orders, etc)? I have the following benchmarks provided by a client, and although it seems like a great idea to go to Premium, how could I provide backup for my recommendations? 1.By 12/31/15, being at 22.5M 2.Average processing of 400 orders per day 3.Capable of processing 1,000 orders per day 4.60,000 total customer records 5.3000 SKU's in inventory 6.By 12/31/17, being at 30M, average orders of 550 per day, capable of up to 1400 orders per day Any advice or guidance is appreciated. Thanks!

I can tell you a customer of this size needs our EverSafe! Appliance http://www.disaster-recovery-services.net My guess is if they had a single day of down time due to a nasty server crash they would be looking at over $75k to 100k/day cost per day of downtime The ROI would be < 60 days

What type of business and how many users? Multiple locations or single?

That's all I received in the request from a co-worker, so I have no other knowledge of the customer. Turns out they need MRP & WO anyways, so I guess it's not important now. Thanks anyway!

It has been my understanding that Premium is actually slower in transactional processing but flies in report generation due to SQL to ODBC. @JohnnyPabian can probably offer much better insight. Perhaps you should look at DSD's SQL mirroring package.

I would say SQL version. They wil be miserable soon with slow reporting. IIG has an interesting work order replacement that would be similar to WO and allow you to get to SQL. Scrap MRP and use inventory advisor.

If Reporting is their only main concern, then DSD's SQL Mirror might also be a good option and less invasive. I've historically not had luck with IIG support & product quality
