Sage 100

Does anyone know of a church membership database program that integrates with Sage 100. Client wants to move away from Church Windows. TIA

What sort of things are you wanting to integrate? I ran the accounting for my church for six months. I absolutely HATED their accounting system (almost gave them Sage100) to make my life easier but decided to leave the position instead. And while I did hate the PR, AP, BR and General ledger, I did appreciate the membership database. Had I stuck with it, I feel Sage would have worked very nicely. I would have posted the contributions to the membership database, then simply rekeyed the JE (less than 10 lines each week) for these amounts into Sage. Church software is just like any other vertical. The vertical (membership database) is great, everything else suffers.

Right now they're using Sage 100 for the accounting for church and preschool. they're keeping their church membership database with giving records in Church Windows. they're is no integration. I need to talk to them but I'm thinking they'd like the cash receipts entry to come over if there was a software that integrated. Probably not a big deal. A good church membership program is really the primary need.

Well you can always build the interface if they can export the GL entry.... And you have VI.... I thought a lot about building an Access DB for them, but after getting used to the way it tracked membership information, I decided that it was solid. If only they would have had Sage for financials, I may still be working there.

That true. They just bought VI I'm going to teach them how to import journal entries on Thursday.
