Does anyone know how to setup Worker's Comp for Washington State (apparently you can deduct some from the employee's paycheck)?

@BethBowers , I think @GeneUlrich is based in Washington state. I don't have any clients there using MAS.

I have one client in Washington that has the Workers' Comp setup as a payroll deduction as Standard Deduction, Based on Total Hrs Worked and the amount entered in Standard Amount/Rate.

I have been using a method that has worked for years. I don't use Workmen's Comp, I set up two deductions for each L&I code - one for the amount WA allows to be deducted from employee and one for the entire liability amount to the state. Hopefully the attached will help.

I do use the worker's comp setup. I use the full rate and set up a code for each category. Then I set up a deduction code for each category with the appropriate rate and set that up as an automatic deduction. Calculation method is based on total hours worked. It really is pretty straight forward.

I have one client that has one Washington State salesman. I use Deduction Codes set up just like Debbie Beach's example.
