Does anyone know anything about ""Tableau"" server? It's a BI Software and it's ridiculously expensive (client said 300K annually). Just wondering what justifies that cost in BI! http://www.tableau.com/products/server

The server is more of a distribution/light-editing platform, you still need Desktop to actually create new visualizations. I have a client that got Server for ~$10K, so I'm not sure if your quote was for Desktop licenses as well. They're $1K each, IIRC.

Talk to DataSelf. The use Tableau for their analytics. They will be at MOTM

The client must have a MASSIVE number of users etc. It's a great solution.
