Does anyone know a way around having to call Sage for an Administrative password over-ride? With the upgrades requiring the legacy version password and most users having no idea what their password is, I've had to call Sage at least 7 times in the last few months. Now that the new support requirements are in place, they want to charge me a ticket for it. Short of making a clean install of the legacy system and recreating all the user accounts and security, is there any way to get the password without calling Sage? Thanks!

Yes, as long as you can access DFDM from the current system. Go into a version of MAS with a known Administrator Password and go to DFDM, MAS_SYSTEM, SY_SYSTEM.M4T. Bring up 21 - Admin Password$, edit, copy the field. Go into the version you want to override, same place and past it in. Now login to MAS as Administrator with your known password. Works for me all the time. Good luck.

Yay! I am so glad to have that work around. It will save me so much time. This MAS 90 minds thing is already paying for itself!

Please keep the work around close to your vest. We really don't want Sage tightening that one down making it impossible to do.....................

Kate, the admin password is stored in the MAS_SYSTEM\SY_SYSTEM.M4T File, field 21 in version 4.5. If you had another installation where you knew what the password was, you could overwrite the mystery one with that one. Ideally, you should copy and paste, but normally these two installations would not be on the same computer. I have not tried keying it in - but you could give it a try!
