Does anyone know ... a) If you can use the Administrator logon for an automated VI job run through Windows Scheduled Tasks? b) does the Administrator logon use a PVX license?

You mean the MAS Administrator, right?

No the MAS administrator, no. Window administrator, sure.

Even if you could, I'm sure it would still use a license.

I think it matters if you have mas200 or mas90. I think it uses a another license on mas90 but not on mas200

Jim, I just tested an automated import in MAS200 and it won't let me use the administrator logon. I don't think the license question matters in that case.

Correct you must use a valid mas login not the administrator. Administrator can't access data.

Misread question I thought Jane was referring to the user licenses. you must alway use regular user accounts for vi.

I have been dealing with user license seat issues relating to VI and BOI lately. So i have gotten real familiar with it. The interesting thing is that BOI is only MAS90 so it gets exciting with user seats.

LOL! I know how you feel. So, to clarify your earlier point. MAS200 won't use a user license during an automated VI job?
