Does anyone have recent experience with Time Track (replacement for Timecard) on v2018? The customer integrates to JC and after some back/forth with Sage they finally issued new keys. I have Time Track enabled but now I can't see a field for the job number (verified that integration to job cost is setup in PR and JC). There's a table for Job Cost but I can't click it or rather when I click in in the Time Track Options nothing happens. I'm thinking this is abandonware on Sage's part as they seem really unfamiliar with the product. I'm going to open a case momentarily but just in case anyone else might save me the time of dealing with Sage support and have some knowledge of why this is happening.

I think I found it. There is an additional ""Enable time track for timecard"" in the Job Cost - Setup - Main tab.

I was just logging into a customer's system that has it enabled.

    What happens?

There is a GOTCHA if the user edits the original time entry. Careful if they do that

Currently the correction entry OVERWRITES the original entry. This seems okay but if the user enters a second entry on the same day, it also overwrites the original entry. For example, if I worked from 9:00 to 10:00 and then stopped for something else, then came back and entered time for 13:00-14:00, that second entry overwrites the original one. This is known and there is either a fix out there already or one coming in December. I can find out if necessary

Thanks. I'm headed to test next week and hopefully they are using this in a basic way.

Wayne, You said ""verified that integration to job cost is setup in PR and JC."" I think this can either feed into JC or PR but not both, or am I mistaken? I'm trying to get Time Track going in my PR2 test company and I can't even see the module to activate it. (Tho Time Card is clearly in System Config.) Is that what you experienced with the licensing? Can't activate it? Then I ran into something about needing to have Job Statuses set up.

Time Track is the mechanism to feed both JC and PR. Time is entered ""pushed"" directly into jobs from Time Track entry and then ""pulled"" into payroll during payroll data entry. You used to have to have a Payroll license in order to use TimeCard for JobCost. It appears this is still the case. Not clear on that with 2018. Working on our first 2018 upgrade involving TimeTrack, PR & JC right now.
