The Scheduling module is very complex, and needs to be treated as such. Many have licensed it, but few maintain or master it. We currently only have one installation that uses it.
It's important that someone be assigned, at least part time, to maintain and monitor the schedule. In some cases this is a full time job, as it is in many larger companies. If it is not maintained, it's useless and users may claim it doesn't work. Yes, set up is very important.
If it is properly set up and maintained, it is a very powerful function that should help the company optimize labor and materials, as well as being competitive.
