For an FRx lover that is very attached to FRx, it is an ideal solution. It is a SQL database, so we know it is robust enough to handle large volumes. As I said, the clients we targeted for this were the ones that had multiple entities and complex departmental and location structures with large reporting packages. Cost is somewhat high, but it seems that any client that has the need based on complexity should not have an issue with that, since they don't have to re-create the reports or learn something new.
When we first signed on with them, there were some delays on the conversion capability, the specific training and certification, and some other features they were working on, so I think we lost some momentum, and have not really picked up again with it. I also have seen that our consultants started taking the BI classes and there was some demand from clients that wanted to use that, so they were occupied with those efforts.
They will convert files - 1-2 day turnaround, 95% converts - at a consulting fee. Resellers do not get a utility for this.
Again, I would consider it for those clients that have an investment in their FRx reporting package. For simple structures and only the basics done in FRx, there are more economical ways to do financial statements (we have a large user base for F9).
