Does anyone have any experience working with Commerce Hub? I spoke with a prospect yesterday and learned this is a requirement to sell through HomeDepot.com.

OK. That's strange. How did the link to HD get inserted?

I worked with CommerceHub last year integrating Sage v 4.3 for BonTon. I set up an FTP client to download and unencrypt the Bonton order. Set up VI to import the order the created a Crystal report to export a csv order acknowledgement. It was quite a project because of all of the fields Bonton requires including UPC code etc. I needed about 30 udfs in MAS to store data that needed to be returned in the functional acknowledgement. Just reading and understanding CommerceHub FTP guide and data setup is time consuming. I think it ended up being about $5-6K of work.

@DougHiggs thanks for the comment. Is this practical if you have hundreds of orders daily? Did you explore the go-to Sage EDI providers first?

The more orders, the more practical as multiple orders can be processed simultaneously. Yes we explored edi and the edi trading partner is commercehub. As an upgrade from 4.3 is expected, implementing edi on 4.3 was not practical. You definitely EDI should investigate as it will make your life easier... and can be used for multiple trading partners whereas the custom CommerceHub setup I did is not much use for most other customers.

Just a follow up in case this is of interest to you in the future. Both MAPADOC (SWK) and In-Synch Web Stor (Kissinger) have Commerce Hub integration.

True Commerce also has CommerceHub integration. This is what the client I mentioned above has been using after upgrading to 2014 last October. The solution often depends on what the client is willing to invest... sometimes it is not much.... even if it sacrifices efficiency.
