Does anyone have any creative ways to track inventory in multiple bins with JobOps installed ... and not using dummy warehouse codes? (You cannot use any multi-bin 3rd party add-on with JobOps.)

@JohnHoyt said he had a client that was using a 3rd party database to track inventory. Perhaps he will elaborate a bit more.

? Lot #'s as Bins ?

I forgot to mention that all of these items are lot valued ... so no on the Lot # as Bin #s. Thanks!

My JobOps client also has the ICS Warehouse Management System installed, which tracks bins and transfers outside the standard system. We do not yet have total integration with JobOps due to the way in which the client is using multiple warehouses. Once we make changes there, a minor customization from Synergistic will be required and then ICS can complete their programming. I will be meeting with the client at Summit to review these projects and we will be on-site in August for some additional work, but this will most likely not be completed until sometime fourth quarter. Of course, the standard recommendation from Synergistic on this is to use lot numbers for the bins. I have done this in the past, but it fails if you are actually using real lot numbers for products.

@JohnHoyt thank you so much. I'm inquiring now to JobOps what that customization would be so that I can evaulate for my client. This would be such a relief if this 3rd party multi-bin solution will work with JobOps!!!

I wonder If Ryan Rick (Per JH) getting promoted to GM will assist with JobOps being more friend with third party apps

@JaneScanlan Any news on this thread? I spoke with Ryan Rick a few months ago and were looking at integrating with ACS. Client is pressing me on a solution for multibin and JobOps. They use serial numbers left and right. They literally have different warehouses and physical buildings that they really need to track where in the building.

JobOps has not yet made any commitments for a 3rd party multi-bin integration. I received a response from Ryan @ JobOps a little bit ago that they ""hoped"" to have something in this regard in 2014. I know that Gary Willett @ ICS has custom programming from JobOps to work with his warehouse solution so you might want to be in touch with him to see how that is going ... he just got it installed not long ago.

Can this seriously a big deal for Job Ops to do? There are only a few spots to interact with a 3rd party warehouse management.

@JohnnyPabian I have exhausted myself with trying to understand why this is such a big deal for JobOps - especially since ICS's code lies outside of MAS and there is not much customization that needs to be done for integrating the 2 products. I've had multiple emails with JobOps on this and there is no commitment on their part. I suggest that you talk with Gary Willett @ ICS or Ryan Rick @ JobOps to further the cause. There are many deals lost because JobOps does not integrate with a 3rd party multi-bin. GOOD LUCK.

No, it really is not a big deal. We are in process of finalizing the solution at a client in 4.50, but it is custom right now for Synergistic. It should be in place live in February. As Jane knows, Synergistic is very conservative and ""by the book"" with anything they customize, which is not a bad approach, but it tends to extend the time and at times they simply will choose not to do something they find risky or that takes too much time for their resources. At least they do not promise something and not deliver.
