Does anyone have an install image of Sage/Best/whatever it was called - of version 3.50? I am in the process of upgrading a client from version 3.41 to version 2015 and have been told by multiple sources that you have to upgrade in stages: 3.50 to 3.71 then to 2015. Any of you MD's out there can confirm that this is still true for upgrading to 2015? And if it is still true, does anyone have version 3.50 that I could download? I cringe asking this....

I know the biggest issue with not going to 3.71 was the Sage General Ledger Custom Reports (old custom financials solution did not convert if you did not stop at 3.71). I likely have the CD and could put it in an ISO for you but I do not have a suggestion of the best place to put it for you to pick it up.

I have version 3.71 ... it's 3.50 that I'm looking for ... can you confirm that you have that version @LarryBradford?

I took a 3.40 to 2014 last week with no issue. Rebuilt all data files and sorts first. I had problems trying to bring it into 4.50 first but 2014 worked well!

I think there is an issue with Inventory if you don't do a pit-stop at 3.71. I don't remember what though, since I only did one really old version to 3.71 to 4.x.

I just did the same upgrade last week. I tried going straight to 2015. but that did not work for the inventory module. Eventually went 3.4 to 3.71 to 4.50 to v2015 successfully.

Thanks for the confirmation of your recent upgrade @JonParkinson. I'm working on getting to 3.71 but my roadblock now is how to get 3.71 unlocking keys. Any suggestions for that?

The registration info from the 3.40 version should work in 3.71.

You can access each module up to 40 times without registration in 3.71.

So, do you recall at the end of the day which versions you stopped for this upgrade? I have a 3.23 and am considering to 3.71 and then 2016. They do have inventory.

We've gone from various 3.x to 3.71, then jump to the newest version without major issues. Usually have to rebuild key files before the jump to 5.X.
