Does anyone have a way to update BOMs when a misc charge (used on the BOM) gets a price change? What Misc Item Maintenance needs is an apply function for BOMs.

@GregStiles -YES, that's what they need, all right! I've exported out and imported in, now that the LineKey is available (unlike old version, where importing in would create a new line).

@GregStiles - I just faced this with someone else and realized it may not matter what the cost says on the Bill. If you do a cost roll-up it uses whatever is in Misc Item Maintenance, NOT the old cost on the bill, and if you do Production Entry, ditto. So it would only be an issue if someone looks at it on the screen or has a custom report, but if it's a custom report, you could add it in.

That's the way it should work, but not what I have observed in the past AND I tested it before I created this post, on 5.0 it uses the cost in the BOM not in Misc Maint. I'll test it again to be certain though,cause that would sure solve my problem!

My mistake, @BethBowers you are correct. The cost roll up register does update the cost from Misc Item Maint. YAY! I was checking the cost on the Misc Item line in the BOM, that still shows the old cost, probably until the cost roll up is run?
