Does anyone have a standard declaration of data ownership that they use for users who request that data be extracted from files they provide? I was hauled into courts as a witness to a beef between two people who claimed ownership of data and I would not like to repeat that experience which I had to do for no money..

I used the attached for a data separation back in 2008 where the origin company was selling a portion of the customer list and it's related items, history, bills of materials, etc. to another firm. I attached this sheet to a print out of each masterfile listing, history, etc. and had the legal rep of the origin company sign each one. They also signed the CD with the data on it.
