Does anyone have a list of the 6 (or was it 8) products that are slated to be discontinued? I got Sage 500 (yes, hard to miss that one), BusinessWorks, BusinessVision (is that the name?), but not sure about the others.

So far as I've heard the only one with a stated discontinuation time ""we'll support it at least 5 years"" is 500. All the others are ""any time now"" and Sage was unwilling to clarify during briefings.

Thanks for the list. Used to have a doctor's office on DacEasy but I guess since he went to jail for Medicaid fraud a heck of a long time ago, I don't have to worry about THAT installation... Wonder where they will transition these? 100? 300? 50?

They've offered my one remaining Sage Pro client any product they want for free. I'm not sure about the rest.

I don't think they really know yet. Others can jump in, but the only definite statement was five years for MAS 500.

Wow, I had a SagePro client and they had that offer last year, but diddled about too long and then Sage didn't re-offer to them. It was free product, but you had to pay for 5 years maintenance up front.

The offer for PFW and SagePro is now a per user count credit. The customer can apply the credit towards the purchase of another product. The value of the credit drops at 10/1 each year over the next 3 years. Rumor has it the old plan will be reinstated in October as a new push is implemented to move these customers to other applications. (This is just a rumor.)

What does ""five year support"" plan mean? Are they planning any more updates to 500 or just keeping as is and supporting it for five years? What is replacing it? What did they say to tell existing prospects and users?

Is there such a thing as ""existing prospects""? I think the word is ""X3

We actually had a couple of 500 sales this year. and I have a client that could stand upgrading to 500 for AP/GL in order to get inter-company and more robust allocation capabilites.

I see on the X3 spec sheet page that X3 offers ""General Ledge"". I suppose that's instead of a specific ledge, these ledges are general.

I think they believe 1099 was a bad year for the French so it is not included in the X3 product.
