Document Management for Sage 100

  • 1.  Document Management for Sage 100

    Hi there

I have a client that has looked at Doc-Link and does not feel it is right for them.

I am aware of InstaDocs but they want storage and workflow.

Does any one have any other DMS to recommend that integrates with Sage 100?

I thought Beanworks/Quadient did a good job at my customer who is a small school. This admittedly is not an option outside of AP Automation.

We have had a few customers use Inbooks by InfoDynamics and so far it has worked out very well.

@Douglas Luchansky - What is "right" for them?  Doclinks has storage and workflow.  Is "right" a code word for less money?

Too funny and you are probably right although this client has never been on the "cheap".
They have operations management and another person on my team knows all the details so maybe I'll try to find out

If they're trying to solve some issues with docs in Ops Mgt, they should be very clear about what they want to happen. If they haven't discussed these details with doc-link, then they should. I doubt there is any other DM product that has a deeper penetration into Sage 100 customers, so they've probably encountered the issues before.

If they're focused on the mfg issue, then they should also lift their gaze broader. After they fix that, there'll be others. AP Automation is the THE biggest use of DM among Sage 100 customers. Makes sense that somebody in the group will bring that up during the decision process. AP Automation is pretty specialized (esp options on handling payments) so they should be clear on what they'll want there.

If you get clarity on this with the customer, I hope you will post back on what they found.

What ever happened to Acom Solutions?   Back in the day... it was less complex and expensive while being more integrated with Sage 100.

@Gary Feldman - Good one.  This was a good solution.  I suspect they didn't want to pay the "membership fee" to join the Sage Endorsed Solutions club.
