Sage 100

Do you have any idea why 2017.1 would prompt an end user to convert reports on the Sage 100 menu (NOT customs) such as General Ledger Detail Report? I seem to run into this more frequently and I'm not sure why Sage requires a conversion of these ""canned"" reports.

Do you always run the mascrcw utility against all Crystal reports?

Not the included Sage reports that are hanging off the Reports menu. I've never had to in the past.

I usually let it search the whole mas90 folder for reports and then select them all. I haven't heard from my users that they've seen that prompt so I'm assuming mascrcw is taking care of any required conversions of those canned reports.

That's not a bad idea however in the past with a very broad search I find MASCRCW pulls up lots of old outdated reports and generates errors. It will skip past the errors but going through each reported error seems like a lot of time and I'm not sure why it should even be needed. I understand the need to convert forms and CUSTOM.

All standard reports need to be converted as well. We don't do what @MaryJoKrueger does but let them convert them as needed. Most users don't use the majority of standard reports anyway. Just my .02.

I usually do what @MaryJoKrueger does and I also take the opportunity to delete the older APW, ARW, SOW etc., forms as well, just as a general clean up. Please note that 99% of the upgrades I do are not fixed cost.

If the canned report was customized (i.e. stored in MAS_###\Reports or MAS_SYSTEM\Reports) it needs to be converted, and I include those paths when running mascrcw during an upgrade.
