Stick it in genera (which we already have) l and if people don't want to read it they can hide it.
And yes it sucks that messages cannot be moved through I believe their underlying technical reason is when you move messages with large numbers of users participating there could be issues if a user is not a member of the discussion area that the message is moved into.
