Do Sage Intelligence Reports have to be exported and imported one at a time during an upgrade??? 4.50 Advanced to 2017 on a really slow system. Each report is taking 5 + minutes to export.

Exported 1 at a time, but you can do a bulk import - there is a kb article on bulk import. Interested in hearing what others are doing about the Rollups worksheet that is in the new versions as importing the v4.5 reports does not add the Rollups worksheet.

Just went through this with another end user, Sage Intelligence is a different animal from 4.5 to 2017, so not only do you have to export and import one at a time, (the bulk import export routine didn't work for me either) but you have to copy the report trees folder contents from the old version to the new version. I ended up having to call Sage, but now I know to add more time for any SMI reports upgrades.

    1. Is the bulk import routine obviously available? 2. Is the ""didn't work"" of the bulk import obvious? 3. Would you try the bulk import next time? Asking for a friend.

I've never had problems with the Bulk Import (there is no Bulk Export yet), just have to know where to put the files for SI to find them and follow directions closely for folder structure. Anytime a new repository is created the Trees and Distribution has to be copied over. The whole process is very time consuming if they have a lot of Folders and a lot of Reports. If I'm going from a version with the Rollups Report, I'll use the Bulk Import if more than a few reports.

Be sure to review the SI environments KB first. Then, export each one individually, and import them individually. Manually move the Reporting trees folder (always, until they fix this quirk). If you have more issues, I have a way I upgraded from 4.3 to 2017 last month that worked. If you need the information, I'll dig it out of my notes and post it. My issue is both that 1) I didn't see the BI panel on the right and also 2) had #NAME? error. Basically, I opened the ""bad"" report and also a ""clean"" blank report and in Excel, copied the ""bad"" report to the clean one. Saved the clean one back into SI. That's the shortened version of the 10 step process. Still, better than Sage's suggestion of rewriting all those consolidated reports!

So, after moving my reporting trees over from the 4.5 install, the masks were ****-40. Sage indicated this is a change based on version. I noticed by testing a formula everything came up till choosing a tree. Managed tree and noticed no accounts showing up. I had to change the mask to ????-40 to solve the issue. Easiest seems to be to copy the tree and then review your trees.

It's one of those 'Gotcha's"" that you don't remember till the formulas don't work.
