    Do Sage Business Care renewal professionals actively solicit 100c renewals when notifying end users that it is time to renew? it has been my experience that they don't. My clients appear only to find out about their options when I bring it up. Even the renewal paperwork that they get directly from Sage has not mention of 100c, just a silver or gold support renewal. Or are they secretly renewing at 100c without even mentioning the change? Just wondering......

    It seems like strategy is to push 100c but staff is a strategy of least resistance.

    I could have sworn last year that a customer sent their renewal letter to me and it showed the subscription price on it. That was last year so it could have changed.

    I believe it did. Not sure about this year. I know they seem to be renewing most on 100.

    The renewal notice I saw last month just shows three prices. 100 silver, 100c silver (cheapest), and 100c gold. No explanations.

    I have one due in June. The renewal letter pushes 100c Gold on the left and on the right is the Silver option. They also have the 100 renewal, but have used colors to emphasize the 100c. The reseller name is NOWHERE to be found on the letter!

    My client got a renewal suggesting she move up and over to 100c Gold and at less than Sage Business Care had quoted me. I had egg on my face, having quoted a higher number, but Sage honored it and I converted her. Obviously wish I could have been quoting their lower number for the BC level upgrade.

    It seems that the clients receive information that is unclear so they often just renew what they had last year. Every time I talk to a client I bring up 100c without waiting for their renewal date. They get credit for unused M&S.

    Unfortunately, the Business Care renewals are a different department from Tim Finch and Larry Sunderlin, who had a session at Summit and did a relatively good job of dodging what we threw at them. Sage needed a Part 2 session with Business Care. I'm not sure they would have fared as well.

    That's a good question. One of the managers moved on to be a Partner Territory Manager, so not sure who stepped into that role.

    In a way, if I were Sage, I would want to give customers options to upgrade/renew through every means possible. but if they're undercutting the channel, that is a totally unacceptable way to get those sales.
