Client is using Job Cost and has kept unlicensed PR installed because they report without PR installed, departments do not work in Job Cost.  They haven't actually used or owned a license for Payroll in YEARS.  can anyone confirm or deny this information?  We are looking to upgrade and trying to determine if we can eliminate the unlicensed PR installation.  Currently running Sage 100 2019 with Payroll 2.20 installed but not licensed. @Beth Bowers @Alnoor Cassim

I'm trying to get confirmation from them.  All they have given me is "keep the old payroll data no longer used to use the existing Sage structure for departmental maintenance for budgeting and job costing".  I'm trying to get them to show me today!

Nevermind...Client was confused...they WANT ability to maintain departmental budgets in GL and was under the impression that PR was needed to do that.  JC Labor costs and overhead costs are imports in summary from outside payroll services with no departmental or employee designations.  I'm concluding, no, PR is not needed in any form to accomplish required functionality.  Sorry for the false alarm, appreciate the response.
