Do any of you have experience with third party Budget products for MAS? We have a client who is exploring Centage; however, she is a bit put off by the number of calls she has received since looking at a demo that was more sales pitch than informational.

I don't know much about it, but have you looked into Sage Active Planner?

Brett, do you have hands on experience with Active Planner? If so, what are your thoughts?

Thanks for the suggestion, I had not looked at Active Planner. I found it at SAGEMAS but there was again little info unless you signed up. Found and passed on to the client, a 2 page brochure, but it did not indicate if there was any integration with MAS. It appeared to be the same brochure for both MAS 90/200 and MAS 500.

Sounds too me like you should get paid to help them analyze and project manage, ,but don't try and sell/implement with a 10 foot pole on a scenario like this.

Marc Piva, the Midwest 90/200 CAM, has an Active Planner Webinar scheduled for next week. If you are interested in the details, shoot me an email.

Not a Sage product, but in a past life we used Alight Planning, and were quite satisfied with it.

@JeffSchwenk, I do not have any experience with Active Planner, just info: From Sage in Mar '11: Sage Active Planner - Now Available for Sage ERP MAS 90 and 200 ""Some of you may be familiar with Sage Active Planner for Sage ERP MAS 500. We are pleased to announce that Sage Active Planner is now also available for Sage ERP MAS 90 and 200 versions 4.4 and 4.3. Designed specifically for budgeting and offering customers the ability to do rolling forecasts, Sage Active Planner will automatically bring in data from various business applications. It allows the creation of 'plan sheets' (similar to spreadsheets) that can be arranged in a process plan flow which automates the passing of data and information from one sheet to another. Decisions made at the top are quickly and easily reflected in line level planning.

Doesn't say anything about integrations, however. (Although I didn't watch all of the pieces.)
