A local bank in AL is requiring that the ACH file now end in TXT instead of ACH file extension. We have normally just have them rename the file prior to uploading to the bank. However, I have had this request a few times this past week so looking for a more efficient way.

Not sure why the banks are requesting a less secure file, but who knows.

    Thank you,

    Michael

Not sure I would call it a less secure file as it is a text file with an ACH extension.  Maybe the bank personnel don't know how to change the default program to open that file type......

Since the output name various, a batch file for that specific name would be difficult.  But you could create a batch file to change the extension of any ACH  file in that folder to txt by by using something like REN *.ach *.txt.  Double click to execute.

Also, hope you are high and dry and out of Sally's path...
