Did I miss mention of this at the call yesterday as well?? The information about Summit came from the sales meeting held in Atlanta a couple of weeks ago. I was told that Sage management informed the sales team that there will **not be a Summit in 2018**, but rather a series of mini events. The reason given was return on investment for the event.

Didn't come up yday. I heard the rumor a couple weeks ago. Until Sage announces a Summit date, I consider the rumor true.

I heard the same. unfortunately we are not in control so we will just need to react.

Which is fine. We need to react by promoting MOTM 2018 as THE conference of the year for resellers!

We did that last year and look what happened... Sage changed their mind. Are you hoping for a repeat? :)

Nothing wrong with rumor and innuendo. Sage competitors do it all the time to Sage 100. If Sage doesn't realize that others need to plan more than two weeks out, then so be it.

I do not consider this news to be confidential. At BPAC we discussed the ""suggestion"" that there would be mini regional events to replace Summit in 2018. As I recall, not one that spoke up agreed with this direction, but we all concluded this has already been decided. Many of our customers still ask about another Inspire tour, because many attended and saw value in it. From a customer standpoint, I agree that it would be more valuable for them and more would attend that type of local event. As for the channel and ISVs, I still believe we need to return to the ""Insights"" format for partners and ISVs only, including valuable sessions and possible opportunities for certification training.

We are already mentioning to Affiliates that Sage has not confirmed a Summit this year and in the same breathe mentioning that this was the case last year too. We have to be transparent and disclose this to the affiliates since activates around Summit are listed as part of their benefits. I could not in good conscience 'hype' something that has potential to backlash on the 90 Minds brand. Being honest and direct are better polices.

Perhaps this is an opportunity for 90 Minds to have an event later in the year wherever we want it and to include our select ISVs. This may also spur additional ISVs to sign up as affiliates. Second idea is to work with Sage to be included in each of the local events with local 90 Minds partners taking part. It would strengthen our connection with Sage, if we believe that is valuable.

Absolutely nothing wrong with hyping to the membership that this may be their only chance to meet up with other members as Sage has not announced any definitive plans for a Summit this year. The affiliates know as much as we do. We are being transparent, we are being honest, we are being direct.
