Did anyone get an email announcing the release of Sage 100 2017?

Not me...

Nope. Not as a partner, nor as a customer.

Sage doesn't push anything out to us. We are responsible for searching one of the three or four web sites to find information. Frustrating and poor customer service.

My new Sage emoji. Whenever I type ""Sage Channel"" my smartphone automatically replaces it with the Sage Channel Salute.

I still don't understand how Sage doesn't let its own consultants know when a new release is available. (and for what it is worth, this happens to BusinessWorks partners/consultants as well).

I received the notice in an e-mail on Oct 27th at 4:01 pm EDT.

Looks like some did, some didn't. So far as I can tell it's not in my spam folder or in any of my other email folders. I get some much email that it is tough to go back and search a day - even using the keyword Sage since that still pulls up a substantial portion of my inbox....

I wonder if Sage only sent the email to the contact at the authorized resellers instead of all certified consultants

I'm talking with Sage now. As near as I can tell I guessed correctly - Sage only sent the announcement to the primary contact on the reseller account. I do not think that it went to certified consultants. Sage sent me a copy of the announcement and asked if I wanted to change the DSD account so I would be the primary contact... uh, no thanks, that would result in several weeks of conference calls and meetings..... I did ask if they only sent this to primary and why since CC are typically on the front line. My guess: so many people have left Sage Irvine that nobody is all that familiar with the procedure and someone probably just took a guess on the distribution.

No, but I know some of our clients received an announcement last week. I'll check and see if the announcement went directly to Annette.

I also received it on Oct 27 at 4:01pm Eastern. The subject read ""Announcing Sage 100 2017 and Sage 100 2016.3"". I believe I am the only one at ASI who received the email, and I am the primary contact on our account.

Sage is saying that they forgot the general announcement. I'm not kidding. They claim that it slipped their mind to include it in the weekly Sage Sell and MySageSell. Just let that sink in overnight as you ponder the future of Sage and Sage 100.

I still would like a confirmation that what is available now is the final release, because if Sage's external communication is this screwed up, I have my doubts about their internal communications

Marketing material: spam it everywhere repeatedly. Useful things: ignored / forgotten. That reminds me of the breakout sessions on Summit partner day (with the tiny room).

@WayneSchulz nothing received in our general email. Likely went to our primary contact, as others have mentioned.

Ultimately Sage claimed, - There has always been a release email that went to the primary contact - They _**""forgot""**_ to send a 2017 release email to channel partners (certified consultants) or post anything in MySageSell They tried to tell me they only notify the primary contact. When I pulled up my 2016 release announcement the tune changed promptly and became more of ""the dog ate our homework"" type excuse. As of this morning 11/2 MySageSell still doesn't have any collateral or the other materials (supported platforms) that Sage promised would be available.

I just renewed Consultant status and watched the 35 minutes of what's new in 2017, a good chunk of time being spent on addressing customer wish list (enhanced lookup, export of a few reports to Excel, and security lookups-really???). The other major time waster was setting ACH in AR. How many of your customers are going to let you draft their account upon billing??? Ba Dee, Ba Dee. That's all folks.

LOL... Everyone's excited about subscription billing except the customer..... Sage doesn't need to justify enhancements with subscription... The subscription fee is merely software rental.

Short term revenue, but ultimately we all lose.

Did you get this while downloading directly from the Sage site? I'm able to start a download on Chrome (direct) without this message (Mac)
