    I received a survey from Sage yesterday. Anyone else? Although I know the results are rarely if ever shared - I think they would be great reading.

    I received one as well.  Haven't looked at it yet.  I agree that the responses will probably not see the light of a reseller's day.

    I did... ignored.  I was snarky on one a few years ago, and had a call from Jennifer Warawa to talk about it.  She listened, said nice hopeful things... then left Sage.  After that, and Tim's departure, then Phuong's... hard to be hopeful the feedback we provide (outside the power of 90Minds) is meaningful.

    Everybody who received a survey should respond as honestly and truthful as possible.  From the vendor's side, negative responses are golden opportunities to improve service.  The only other indicators for improvement are what your competition might be doing better (and often times you might never know until it's too late) and market innovations.  There may be a lot of reasons why a vendor doesn't implement changes that come from complaints but shame on the vendor if they don't at least listen.

    I always respond and provide feedback on what I’ve experienced.

    A week ago an ISV called me.

    It was a video call.

    By the end of it they looked like they were ready for a standing 8 count.

    I felt bad.

    I never heard back from them but I’m going to continue sharing my experiences until such time as the situation improves.

    Everyone should respond and be candid.  There are about 10 pages asking you to rank (1-10) on various aspects of the company/product  Questions are skewed toward marketing/sales.  You also get space to elaborate on your responses.  I believe I gave one mark greater than a five.  I described the confusion arising by calling everything Sage.  I expressed my disdain for the Smartsheets, how top down marketing from the UK was ruining the mid market and how the annual October purge was sending the wrong message.

    Will my comments have any effect?  I don't know but I had to express myself.  If more people tell it like it is and not say what they WANT to hear, maybe we can have a tiny effect.  Perhaps butterflies really do have a weather impact.
