Deleting Sales Order (or any framework) form codes. (V4.4.x) Is it still nearly impossible to delete an errant form code that a user enters for say Order Entry or Invoice Entry? I know that it seems you should be able to go in through Report Manager but my most recent memory of this is that the removal process doesn't really work.

Most recently I went into DFDM and deleted the key for that form. There is an article in the Knowledgebase with the details. Report Manager seems to be on its own schedule of working/not working.

Thanks Kevin - that matches my memory but I wanted to be sure that I'd not overlooked anything and that the process had not suddenly become simpler.

Here's what I believe the verbiage is (as well as the Sage KB link) to remove a form code manually: Link: http://infosource.sagesoftwareonline.com/sw_attach/kdb.asp?isresolutionconceptid=492199 Subject: How to remove graphical form codes not listed in Report Manager for Sage MAS 90 and 200 Possible Resolution: References to the form code must be removed manually: Expand Modules, Library Master, and Utilities. Double-click Data File Display and Maintenance (DFDM). In the File Name field, select the ...\MAS_SYSTEM\SY_ReportSetting.M4T file. Delete the key associated with the form code. Repeat this step for the following files: SY_ReportOption.M4T SY_LastFormUsed.M4T In Windows Explorer, browse to the ...\MAS90\MAS_xxx\Reports\ folder. Delete the folder associated with the form code.

I actually met with a Tech person 4 or so years ago at Summit to review this exact issue. Obviously, I didn't make a strong enough case for it.............. This is my cheat sheet for removing user created forms........... I typically don't delete the reports folder as that isn't the issue. Removing User Created Form (not report) Names in Report Settings To delete the line that a user created for their form, look in the Sy_reportsetting.m4t file via DFDM. Report setting name will appear as part of the key. ............\MAS90\MAS_SYSTEM\SY_ReportSetting.M4T Also look at ...........\MAS90\MAS_SYSTEM\SY_ReportOption.M4T And ............\MAS90\MAS_SYSTEM\SY_LastFormUsed.M4T
