Delete Warehouse Button on Quantity tab in Item Maintenance 4.40 PU3 - doc says you can click on the delete button to get rid of the warehouse record if the qtys are zero. I have brand new items with no activity at all and still the button won't light up. Anyone get that button to work?

Just did a quick test in 4.40.0.2. Created a new item, and saved it. Then went to Qty tab, single-clicked on the 000 whse rec, whse del button lit up, clicked it, and whse rec went away.

WTF? I just logged into a client on 4.40.2 and created a new item, saved it, etc etc and my whse del button wouldn't light up. Verified admin had everything checked in Role Maint - but now I can't get it to happen in either PU. I know I had admin on the PU3, too.... AHHHHH - here it is. It only lights up (for me, anyway) if I have REORDER by WAREHOUSE checked in the IM Setup options. WTH sense is that? Anyway, can you confirm that option, Brent?

AAAAHHHHHHHHH! Just got off the phone with Sage and my BP has skyrocketed. She told me that the users just have to change that field in Setup Options (because you can just snap your fingers and have THAT happen when you have to get a ton of users out of the modules) and then they can delete. But this was after telling me that Reorder by Warehouse had to be turned on so that the system KNEW IT WAS MULTIPLE WAREHOUSE. ExCUSE me, sister, but I believe the Use Multiple Warehouses check box takes care of THAT... conversation went downhill from there, since she was being stupid. Her final note was that it's been working this way for some time, so it must be correct. Allrighty. Cash Receipts has failed to clear the PostingToday field sometimes for quite some time, too, so that is apparently correct, as well. If I never talk to THAT particular support person again (and I have no idea what name she gave me - too heavy of an accent), it will be too soon.

You can always look up the case on Boss to see who did it. IMHO, they shouldn't charge you a case if a rookie answers the call ( or until they get 10 positive feedback reports). Just love the fall back WAD response. Gee, one week in Boston and this is what happens?????????

I just checked 4.30 and the Remove Whs button is available even when you don't have the Reorder by Warehouse checked, so .... it's a bug and I'm standing by it. And will say so in my case follow up. AAAAAHHHHH - stupid people get under my skin!

@Beth, there is a problem with the Add/Change function in BOM also? Could the same person have had their fingers in the programming pudding for the IM Rename/Merge/Delete functionality in VI? It sounds very much like the same problem.

Jeff - client hasn't tried it yet. These dates converted over from 4.30 files.
