This is a case from hell.  Client was getting the company in the Tenant Cache in SI multiple times, including both OLE and ODBC, so we uninstalled and reinstalled the workstation (on an RDS).  SI is now working and the ODBC is gone.  HOWEVER, even though we changed nothing with where SAGE was installed and didn't change the network rights to the users, they are all getting "Deferred Printing" only unless they run Sage as Admin or IT is logged into the RDS and runs it.

We've looked at rights to the local folder, the Sage server folder, etc.  One odd thing - when they run Sage, the Server line at the very bottom of SOTA.INI wipes out most of the info - like there is no data path there.  But if the IT guy runs Sage, the SOTA.INI file keeps its data.  We just now had the company that handles the AV software put in the Sage exceptions and we'll see if that helped, but I am pretty close to bald pulling my hair out over this.

    And ideas?

You know there's no chance of that...

There are a few ideas to help with SOTA.INI issues here:

Mostly looks like AV there (I know it's not the exact same time thing - again, we were all on a Teams call watching this happen in real time) - hoping they test that today

    1. Are they using multiple remote servers to service the remote desktop clients?
    2. Are they using any variation of VDI/ Virtual Desktop Interface - which for most end users will cause their workstation environment to refresh / reset with every reboot
    3. User rights - I usually try using Microsoft's effective rights in the folder that I'm curious about to rule out a problem with rights that the IT hasn't properly diagnosed

I've definitely had this happen out of the blue with a client whose IT department started fine tuning their printer security in response to a security audit. Of course there are usually other resons for this that are more mundane like invalid printers.

    1. Only 1
    2. Nope
    3. I figure it has to be this BUT we were all in the meeting watching the uninstall/reinstall happen.
