Default browser for Sage2021

  • 1.  Default browser for Sage2021

    HI All,
       I seem to recall seeing a way to change the default browser used by Sage from Edge to something else (Chrome).   Does anyone know the way to do this?

       On preferences for users, I see map service but nothing on browser...

    My apoligies.  I was thinking Google maps.  That's what I always change it to.  Not sure about the default browser.

    Only thing I've seen is in the launcher, View - there is a check box 'Use Internet Explorer Mode' so that the help files pull up properly on some older PC's that don't have Edge.  Otherwise, Sage will use the windows default browser.

    I would like to reply on line but as usual I cannot connect to the website.   Here is what I sent to Bob.

     

    Hi Bob,

    That is actually a Control Panel setting.  Open Control Panel and select Default Programs.  Here you go sweetie.  Take care you too an stay happy. ��

    I think the launcher's embedded web data is limited to IE or Edge... but if you right-click a tab you can "open in a new window", which uses your default browser.
