Debbie Hill is leaving Sage and going to Netsuite.

I won't be surprised to see this exodus accelerate. I predict that at best Sage will tread water in NA.

The good ones leave. Sage's messaging about NA for mid-market has been terrible, when it wasn't non-existent. Of course, you can't really message about a substance that isn't there.

I wonder if she was given the option to move to Atlanta and turned it down. Yes, the good ones have options!!

I doubt it, since she has lived in Colorado for quite a long time and it was never an issue. Sage did not offer anything as a counter - just let her leave - meaning management has no understanding of the value of key employees.

Sage management has only one concept of ""value"" - today's stock price. Everything else is a ""cost"" and therefore anything that reduces that is a good thing.

Debbie was in PSG concentrating on CRM. Based on the lack of press on Sage CRM lately, perhaps this is another sign of where that product may be going.

Good point @JohnHoyt - remember that these employees are a form of ""smart money"". They have access to more insider talk and info than we do. While many of them won't ""spill the beans"" you can pretty much guess by their actions that they might have been exposed to unfavorable info which caused them to depart. In my personal opinion, this was doubly true with Jodi coming on as interim President then suddenly depart. She almost certainly saw one or more things that were not compatible with her vision.

Start shuffling towards the exits before the stampede.

Nothing strategic - personality issue with the head of PSG. As if any of us would be using PSG anyway.
