Dawn has brought up an objection to Vrakus Blum in Peter's message. Unfortunately I have to say that Dawn elected not to become a 90Minds member and as such she does NOT have any veto rights other than the courtesy that you might opt to give her.

Since Dawn isn't a 90 minds member she probably shouldn't be on the new membership committee. But it maybe a little late now? She has be become some what of a defacto member.

Good point. We need to also think about how aggressively we want to pursue new members. We will, in my opinion see about a 1 or 2 to 20 success ratio of invited members to those who actively participate. We should be planning for replacing of members who become less active - even if that means it seems we have too many at any one time. If people are actively participating I'd also question whether there's any number considered to be ""too many

I agree with Jim. All the orignal Yahoo Resellers were grandfathered into socialcast when we switched over. Membership in 90 Minds is now required. We probably should consider tightening the membership requirements to include meaningful posts as opposed to ""yes, I have done that"" without any further explanation. But that is topic for another day.

My opinion is this -- if you haven't paid to be a full member - and your grandfathered in - then you can stay but have no veto rights. We probably need to decide on a best operating model going forward and whether we are going to charge, or have some other membership criteria. FWIW ... Joe Jenders has told me that upon reviewing the 90Minds member list, he saw Dawn's group and is re-thinking the whole thing. They are apparently (from reading both sides) bitter rivals. It's a shame as I think Joe is great and I know he is a solid contributor in the other group that I'm in. I don't know Dawn as well but I did get a chance to meet with her at Summit and she seems great too. For the sake of all, I think there has to be a ""first mover"" rights to protect existing members when these situations arise. The debate about being a full 90 Minds member vs only a Sage Reseller group member is lost on me but it seems specious. I don't know the history though.

We're going to dump the distinction. Going forward think 90 Minds. The main driver of whether someone is going to protect an area is their participation/helpfulness. If they're not participating we're going to invite them to join the Sage Community Forums instead of our group.
