    Danger, Will Robinson!"" Error: ""The credit card transaction request to Sage Exchange cannot be processed"" when trying to process a credit card transaction in Sage 100 Advanced ERP 2013 PU7 (or SQL Version); after upgrading from a lower release level. We are dealing with a problem when upgrading a client from Sage 100 Advanced EPR 2013 (or SQL) from PU3 to PU7. If the client is using Sage Payment Services for Credit Card processing, they will experience problems running Sage 100 Advanced ERP 2013 as a Service. (Also a problem with Sage 2014; but I am not sure what levels cause the issue; my assumption is the last Product Update that supported the Level 3 Credit Card processing) Sage Software Support is currently recommending that if you are in this situation, on Sage 100 Advanced ERP 2013 PU3 with Sage Payment Services; stay on PU 3 for now. If you need the features of the Sage 100 Advanced ERP 2013 PU7 and are using Sage Payment Services, you will need to stop using Sage 100 Advanced ERP 2013 as a SERVICE, and run Sage 100 Advanced ERP 2013 as an Application, instead. Sage Product Development is working on a HOT FIX to resolve the issue. My client was the ""second one"" in the country to report the problem (I reported it on Monday). Today when I finally got my call back from Sage Software Support they gave me an explanation. Sage Exchange recently pushed out an update through the workstations that ""uninstalled"" and ""re-installed"" the Sage Module SDK at the Server Level. When the re-install is happening, it is re-installing as the individual user account, that is logged into the PC running Sage 100 ERP Advanced 2013 workstation, at the time the ""update"" was pushed. If the Sage 100 ERP Advanced 2013 SERVICE is not the same user as the new install of the Sage Payment Services SDK, all users will get a failure when trying to process a credit card integration with Sage 100 and Sage Exchange. The attached documentation gives the impression the problem is with running the service as a Local Account. That is actually not the problem. (The support document attached needs to be updated, per my conversation with Sage Support today). Error Message: The credit card transaction request to Sage Exchange cannot be processed If you have already updated to PU7, and do not have a means to roll back to PU3, then your only option is to do the following: Disable the Sage 100 ERP Service from running Stop the Service Uninstall the Sage Module SDK on the server Re-install the Sage Module SDK on the server Run the Sage 100 ERP Advance as an Application on the server desktop If you need to reboot the server, the Login that logs in and starts the service needs to be the same login that installed the Sage Module SDK. If not, uninstall the Sage Module SDK and re-install is required to eliminate the error message when processing a credit card.
