  • 1.  Customers who haven't closed in a long while and are on Sage 100 2021+

    I have a few customers who have been working for two or three years in the past. This means their current year/period shows 2021 - period 10.

    Is there any harm in manually flipping those months/periods in each module to a more current date WITHOUT going through a period end? In most cases, I think the period end does some purging, but I'm not 100% sure it's ok to manually flip the period and year forward in every module.

    Thoughts?

    I've always been in the habit of at least just bumping the period to 12 and closing each year.  And as far as I know it's been fine.
