  • 1.  Customer wants to 'transfer' license to a different entity

    I have a customer who has two different legal entities. He called this morning asking which entity Sage had their Sage 100 and FAS under. When I told him, he said he wants them under the other entity. It's not a sale or anything, he just wants the parent entity to have ownership. Now technically, these are subscriptions but he is just trying to clean things up. 

    I know I've done 'transfers' when the customer has been purchased, for instance, but what do you do to change the legal 'ownership'?

    Well, if it is a "parent" then at some point there was a "purchase", right?  Best not to give Sage a chance to "think"...

    Well, the 'purchase' was well before Sage came into the picture. I know that when they file their PR taxes, it is under the parent name and tax ID.
    I talked to Sean MacDonald and he sent me a Name Change Form.
