Customer uses the PO Auto Generate from Sales Orders feature but forgot to summarize items then deleted the PO's. Now they want to auto-generate them again but it doesn't do so. I know there is a flag somewhere that specifies that a PO has been generated but what can they do to regenerate them. TIA.

I think it's based on the SO Line's PO Number field.

Not that I know of, but if there's a ton, you could BOI script it.

Check the sales order lines related to the POs.

I did. You can't change or delete the PO info written to the line detail - even though the PO no longer exists.

What version? I know you could change them in 2014...

Remove the PO# from the SO Line (lower grid at the bottom generally) if the SO is still open,, then you can regenerate. There are permissions for this in Role Maintenance too that have to be dealt with.

This is 2017 and no, you cannot delete the PO number in SO Entry.

Yep, that did it. Not the easiest way to clean this up.

I've fought this issue since 2014. I don't understand why deleting the created PO does not clean up the SO - other than the usual WAG. Half-ass program design IMHO.

@KathrynScofield - Half?? I think you are being generous...... It wouldn't be so bad if they would only release improvements on their initial design.
