  • 1.  Customer Ship To maintenance Rights

    Version 2019 Advanced.  In customer maintenance, on the upper right side of the panel there is a "Primary Ship To" hyper link.  If you click on it it allow users to maintain customer ship to addresses.  Where in role maintenance is Customer Ship To Maintenance?  I would like to set this to view only for some roles / users.

    I've only had 5 cups of coffee so far today so locating this is escaping me.

    I'm not seeing it either.  KB #60869 says you have to use Custom Office to hide it.  KB #111929 says it was fixed in 2019.4.  I did a search for it in my 2021 installation and nothing comes up except the listing. ​​

    Excellent question - I am done with my pot of coffee and not seeing it.  Nothing jumping out under AR, SO or CI security settings.  Quite puzzling.

    On the surface it may not seem like a big deal to not have security on the ability to maintain ship to addresses.  However, putting my auditor hat on, I see this as a serious internal control issue.  A user could add a ship to address and have something shipped to somewhere other than the customer's actual place of business.

    Sage also has a nasty habit of linking security to something completely different from what you would expect.   Perhaps this is the case here as well.

    @Jeff Schwenk  Per @Mary Jo Krueger I followed the Sage KB 60669 work around and disabled all of the fields on the panel.  That's a huge inconvenience particularly if users ans roles change often.​​  So it's doable but super inefficient.

    I would recommend that you post a comment in the Sage Community asking for assistance.  KB mentioned above 111929 does not resolve issue in v2019.4.  Be a "little" snarky but not too much.  Maybe someone from Sage will jump on it with an explanation.
