  • 1.  Customer said they were trying to delete GL accoun

    Customer said they were trying to delete GL account and were stopped by ""has activity"" . They say all history appears , shows in financials, yet they have a ""deleted"" indication on chart. Believe this to be Sage 2014 latest PU but have to set customer for a callback to verify. For now only looking to see if this brings back any memories.

    IIRC, accounts marked for deletion don't actually get deleted until year end processing...

    Rule of thumb is to NEVER delete an account. Mark it as inactive. IF they want to delete it, use the renumber/merge utility to move the history into a deleted account history account. The day will come when they want to run a financial from back in the day and it won't balance.
